Lornoxicam 8 mg + Paracetamol 500 mg Tablet

Flexilor-P 8 contains lornoxicam 8 mg (NSAID, oxicam class) and paracetamol 500 mg (analgesic and antipyretic). Lornoxicam acts by inhibiting cyclooxygenase (COX-1 and COX-2) enzymes, reducing prostaglandin synthesis and thereby decreasing pain, inflammation, and swelling. Paracetamol acts centrally by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis in the CNS, producing analgesic and antipyretic effects with minimal peripheral anti-inflammatory action.

It is indicated for the management of acute musculoskeletal pain, osteoarthritis pain, dental pain, postoperative pain, and inflammatory conditions associated with pain and fever. It is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to NSAIDs or paracetamol, active peptic ulcer disease, severe hepatic impairment, and severe renal failure.

Use with caution in patients with gastrointestinal disorders, hepatic or renal dysfunction, cardiovascular disease, and elderly patients, due to risks of GI irritation/bleeding (lornoxicam) and hepatotoxicity (paracetamol). Common adverse effects include dyspepsia, nausea, dizziness, and gastric discomfort; prolonged use should be avoided unless clinically indicated.
