Cefixime 50mg/5ml Syrup

Gramocef-O 50 Syrup contains cefixime (third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic) (typically 50 mg per 5 mL as per formulation). Cefixime exerts bactericidal activity by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to cell lysis and death. It is indicated for the treatment of susceptible bacterial infections, including upper and lower respiratory tract infections, otitis media, urinary tract infections, and uncomplicated gastrointestinal infections. It is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to cephalosporins or other β-lactam antibiotics.
