Aluminium Hydroxide + Magnesium Hydroxide + Simethicone

Relcer Syrup contains Aluminium Hydroxide and Magnesium Hydroxide (antacids) with Simethicone (antiflatulent). Aluminium hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide act by neutralizing gastric acid, increasing gastric pH and reducing pepsin activity, while simethicone decreases surface tension of gas bubbles, facilitating their expulsion and relieving bloating. It is indicated for the symptomatic relief of hyperacidity, dyspepsia, gastritis, gastroesophageal reflux (GERD), and flatulence. It is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to components, severe renal impairment, and hypophosphatemia.

This combination provides rapid relief of acid-related symptoms with added control of gas and bloating. Use with caution in patients with renal dysfunction, elderly patients, or those on prolonged therapy, due to the risk of electrolyte imbalance (e.g., hypermagnesemia or aluminum accumulation). Common adverse effects include constipation (Aluminium salts), diarrhea (magnesium salts), and mild gastrointestinal discomfort.
